Some legends never die... they wait.
The legend of Moll Dyer
Centuries ago, in a small, isolated town, Moll Dyer was accused of witchcraft and blamed for a string of misfortunes. On a frigid winter night, an angry mob drove her from her home, setting her cabin ablaze. She fled into the woods, where she collapsed on a large rock, cursing the townspeople with her dying breath. When her frozen body was found days later, one hand was pressed against the stone, her curse seeping into the land itself. From that day on, a chilling wind whispered her name, and shadows crept through the trees, carrying a promise—that those who drove her away would never know peace, and that her vengeance would live on, long after death.
